"Marina Bay Sands is an integrated resort fronting Marina Bay in Singapore. Developed by Las Vegas Sands, it is one of the world's most expensive stand-alone developments costing about $8 billion. It opened in June 2010. The resort features a 2,561 room hotel, a convention center, shops at Marina Bay Sands mall, a museum, two large theatres, seven celebrity chef restaurants, two floating Crystal Pavilions, an ice skating rink, and the world's largest atrium casino with almost 500 tables and over 2,500 slot machines. The complex is topped by a 1,050 foot long boat shaped platform that contains a SkyPark with an observational deck, garden, swimming pool, and four restaurant/bars, all which sit on top of three 57-story buildings housing the hotel rooms." |
